Atlanta Runways

A top-down view of the northern runways of Atlanta Hartsfield Airport. The airport is generally considered the single busiest in the world as measured by total number of passengers. The busiest airport for international flights is London-Heathrow and the largest airport (at a massive 81 square miles) is in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

California Hill

US Route 1, running the length of California, is one of the great drives of the world. And the large landscapes that line much of the drive make for some superb pattern spotting. This shot of a slopping cow pasture, along the Sonoma County portion of Route 1, was taken in late afternoon. The sky, shadow and grass field made near-perfect diagonal lines across the horizon.

At the Monterey Aquarium in California. Their otter exhibit was the highlight of my visit there. But otters, while cute, don’t make for good pattern photos.
